Side of Backboard Drill
Side of Backboard Form Shots
This drill is great for developing consistency on your shot. Start right outside the lane line and aim to hit the side of the backboard where the metal is located. Ideally, you do not want to hit the rubber part of the backboard. Some backboards may or may not have it. If you are a younger player, then hitting the rubber is acceptable. The basketball should come directly back to you. If you shoot and have to get or reach the basketball then you have to start over. You must get 2 backboard shots directly back to you in a row and then you shoot a regular form shot. The goal is to swish every shot.
